Meaford To Consider Nearly $452K Tender For Pump Station Work
Meaford is going to consider awarding a nearly $452,000 tender this week for work at a local pump station.
Council will consider awarding the tender to East Elgin Concrete Forming Limited as part of a project to replace the wet well sluice gate valves for Meaford Pump Station 2.
In a report from Director of Financial Services and Treasurer Valerie Manning, the work will include the replacement of four sluice gate valves inside the inlet wet well at the Meaford Waste Water Treatment Plant at 35 Grant Avenue.
East Elgin was the only company to submit a tender and falls within the 2023 Capital Budget of $482,000.
The design for the project was completed last year, with construction geared for this year.
Council will consider this item during its meeting on Aug. 28 at 3 p.m.
